An Arab man is on trial in Sharjah for filming a woman in a public place although he does not know her, press reports said on Monday.
The woman told police that she was walking near a local bank when she noticed the man was photographing her.
She said that she went to the man and asked him to delete the pictures from his mobile phone, but he refused and abused her.
The man claimed in court that he filmed her because he wanted to warn her about her “indecent” dress, the report said.
The judge tried to reconcile the two and make the man apologize to her but she insisted on going ahead with the trial, it added.
