Some affected residents from Batangas have arrived in a university to seek refuge from the dangers of the ash fall that’s enveloping parts of Luzon.
As of 11:00 am on January 13, several affected residents from Batangas have arrived at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines in Sto. Tomas to keep their families safe from the ongoing volcanic activity of the Taal Volcano.
A concerned citizen, Charr Balmaceda, uploaded several photos on Facebook as distressed residents from Batangas and other areas nearby Taal were unloaded from the large trucks of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
Parents along with there children went inside the covered court of the university.
Balmaceda told that many people were still en route towards the university.
Meanwhile, PHILVOLCS urged the public to evacuate as quickly as possible away from Taal volcano due to the ashfall.
