LOOK: Stone-throwing incident damages windshield of PNR’s train

Department of Transportation (DOTr) on Thursday reported another stone-throwing incident which damaged the front glass windshield of Philippine National Railways (PNR) refurbished Rotem train unit.
The incident happened on New Year’s Day at 6:01 pm in Caloocan City.

Fortunately, the damaged train underwent immediate front glass windshield replacement to avoid disruption in the country’s oldest railway.

The incident prompted DOTr to ask the public’s cooperation, particularly the train commuters to help the agency to locate areas where these misdeeds happen.
DOTr also noted that they are closely coordinating with LGUs concerned as well as law enforcement agencies to immediately investigate, to apprehend and to take necessary actions to stop these dangerous doings.

The DOTr along with PNR vowed to exhaust all means necessary to protect the valuable equipment and to ensure the safety of the commuting public.
