Ursula maintains strength, moves toward Aklan, Antique areas

State weather bureau PAGASA said that Typhoon Ursula maintained its strength and is now moving towards Aklan and Antique areas.

PAGASA said that Ursula’s eyewall will bring destructive winds and intense rainfall in portions of Antique and Romblon areas.

Mindoro provinces will also be affected by Ursula in the coming hours.

Tropical Storm signals are now lifted in Eastern Samar, Northern Samar, Samar, Camotes islands, Northern and Central Cebu, Southern Leyte, Biliran, Leyte, Bohol, Siquijor and Catanduanes.

Occasional to frequent rainfall can be expected in Mindoro provinces, CALABARZON, Western Visayas, Bicol region and Palawan.

Residents are advised to take extra precautionary measures because of flooding and rain-induced landslides.

Sea travel remains to be risky because of Typhoon Ursula.

Typhoon Ursula is expected to leave the country’s land mass tonight. The typhoon will also be out of the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Friday.
