Davao Del Sur was rocked again by a magnitude 4.8 earthquake on Wednesday morning, three days after a magnitude 6.9 earthquake rocked the region last Sunday.
The epicenter of the quake took place in Magsaysay town in Davao Del Sur.
Intensity IV was felt in Bansalan and Digos City while Intensity II was felt in Davao City.
The death toll from Sunday’s quake now reached to 9 with the latest fatalities coming from regions of Davao and SOCCSKSARGEN (South Cotabato, Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani and General Santos City).
The National Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Council said that the additional fatalities were three victims pinned under a collapsed South Grocery store in Padada, Davao del Sur, Office of Civil Defense Davao Region.
