Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz today arrived in the UAE on a state visit.
His plane landed in Abu Dhabi, says a report from The National.
This is his second trip to the UAE in a year.
Among officials who first welcomed him was Dr. Anwar Gargash, UAE’s Minister of Foreign Affairs.
In his tweet, the high ranking official welcomed the Crown Prince where he is “surrounded by brothers and family”.
The Saudi Crown Prince is expected to meet with Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed, according to a report by Saudi news outlet Al Arabiya. They will discuss ways to consolidate bilateral relations as well as regional developments.
Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan bin Mubarak, the UAE’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia, described the visit as “historical” since it is a development of Saudi-UAE relations.
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman last visited the UAE capital in November 2018. He put in an appearance at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at Yas Marina.
