Isko Moreno’s son says he has no plans to go into politics

Joaquin Domagoso charmed viewers with his undeniable good looks, which he apparently inherited from his father, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno.

Joaquin told Manila Bulletin he preferred to use his real surname to make his own mark in the Philippine showbiz.

“I like my last name,” Joaquin said in an interview.

The teen star said he is proud of his father and his accomplishments. In the same interview, Joaquin said his father has the same personality even at home.

“He’s a good dad. He always tells us to do right,” he said. “Parang there’s no difference actually when you watch him on TV, the only thing is na strict siya sa TV, parang may pagka-Mayor siya. Pero the values he brings out sa life niya, like being good, compassionate, he’s the same whether on or off camera,” Joaquin said.

Joaquin also has an inclination on helping out but he clarifies that he is not going to enter politics anytime soon.

“Not in my plans right now. Siyempre, I’m so young. Si Papa nga he didn’t think of politics until he was in his 20s,” he said.

For now, Joaquin is busy with his showbiz commitments. He is also regularly taking workshops.

“He tells me, ‘Listen to your co-artist when you’re doing scenes, listen to your manager. Follow the rules, don’t break the dos and don’ts,’” he said.

Joaquin is part of the movie ‘Jolly Spirit Squad’ and is often visible in the GMA show Studio 7.
