President Rodrigo Duterte told Senator Manny Pacquiao to look into the possibility of running for President.
“Kayong mga pulitiko na isipin ninyo mabuti. Manny, I think Manny is entertaining, well it’s good. Pag trabaho, wala ka talagang makuha kung ‘di pagod,” Duterte said in a birthday celebration of Congressman Lord Allan Velasco in a report from ABS-CBN News.
Duterte added that he will oppose any plans of his daughter Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte to run for president.
“Were it not for the love of country, ‘yun lang talaga magsustain. Wala kang makuha dito sa trabaho na ito, except work, work and work and work and work. And worry, worry, worry, and be under stress,” the Chief Executive added.
Inday Sara’s name has been a consistent frontrunner for presidentiables in the 2022 elections along with Vice President Leni Robredo.
Other names being floated by experts as presidentiables include Pacquiao and Manila Mayor Isko Moreno.
Sara has repeatedly said that she is not interested in running for President.
