Netizens share troubling experiences as sandstorms, heavy rain lash out in UAE

Filipino netizens took to Facebook to share their experiences as heavy rain, strong winds, and sandstorms continue to take place in the UAE.

Authorities issued out a meteorological warning alert earlier about the bad weather conditions, and advised that residents, particularly motorists, should take extra caution on the roads.

Lucha Hilaro-Resurreccion shared her travel towards Ruwais today in a public bus had almost no visiblity and that their driver had to traverse the roads slowly.

Netizen Mary Cubz shared a video where street barriers were toppled across the roads in the Khalifa City A area, causing traffic.

Kyle Aquino posted a video where a few barriers were visibly bent as heavy winds struck the Al Maqta area.

Netizens April Bayot and Minho Lee also shared a video as rain continues to take place at Dubai’s Al Quoz and Tecom areas.

The weather bulletin advised that the weather occurrences are expected to take place until 8:00 pm today.
