His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has advised users of social media networks to take the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan as an example in dealing with others respectfully.
In a tweet, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid asked: what are the characteristics of the person we want on social media networks?
He replies: “A personality that reflects Zayed’s image and ethics in dealing with the others; a personality that reflects the level of education and civilization which the UAE has reached…”
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid furthered that he also wants to see a personality that “steers clear from offending others” and a “scientific personality that uses logic in dialogue.”
Sheikh Mohammed’s vision of online users also includes “persons who appreciate good words and positive interaction with other societies and cultures.”
“We also want a personality that is integrated in the global environment by speaking the world’s language, dealing positively with its issues and interacting with its future… a personality that has self-confidence, accepts difference and builds bridges with the other people.. a personality that reflects the modest and humble society of the UAE and its respect and love of the others,” said Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid.
