A 12-year-old girl died after a swimming pool pump sucked her arm during her family’s vacation in Turkey.
The Russian girl named Alisa Adamova was trapped underwater for 15 minutes when her arm got stuck in the swimming pool’s pump.
Her father and other seven more people tried to save Alisa and even tried breaking the swimming pool’s pumping device to free her arm.
Alisa’s arm reported got stuck in the pumping device after doing a water slide, as per the report from Daily Mail.
Tourists and witnesses say there was no lifeguard present when the incident took place in the hotel. The staff took 10 minutes before locating the water pump and switched it off.
“Her dad dived tried to pull her out, but her hand was very strongly sucked into the pump pipe. Even after hotel workers turned off the pump, they could not free her hand. Then he and seven other guests broke the pipe and pulled Alisa out along with a piece of pipe on her arm,” Alisa’s mother told The Dailymail.uk.
Paramedics resuscitated Alisa but she died after 11 days.
