Cockroaches will soon be difficult to eliminate because they are now getting more immune to pesticides and chemicals.
In a study published in the journal of Scientific Reports said that German cockroach (Blattella germanica L.) has been evolving and resisting chemicals.
“We didn’t have a clue that something like that could happen this fast. Cockroaches developing resistance to multiple classes of insecticides at once will make controlling these pests almost impossible with chemicals alone,” the report said.
The study was conducted in the United States for six months. Three chemicals were used to eliminate the insects but later on revealed that they are not dying and worse increase numbers.
Scientists said that new ways of eliminating cockroaches will be more expensive and will do more than just spraying insecticides.
