“May limitasyon ang pagkakaibigan” Paolo Duterte slams speakership bet

Davao City Representative Paolo Duterte slams a speakership aspirant for allegedly using him to boost his chance of winning the top House of Representatives post.

In a statement, Duterte appeals not to use him anymore in the speakership race.

“Huwag po ninyo akong gamitin. Huwag po ang pangalan ko,” he said.

Duterte added that he does not want to be involved in dirty politics and frienship has limitations.

Although not naming the candidate, Duterte took a swipe to an aspirant who disrespected a candidate’s wife.

Politico.ph reports that Duterte was referring to Taguig Representative Alan Peter Cayetano who accused the wife of Marinque Representative Lord Allan Velasco a “Girl Friday” of a business tycoon.

Cayetano aired his frustrations when Velasco scrapped the term sharing proposal. PDP Laban endorses Velasco’s speakership bid in full term.

Cayetano said that they had an agreement allowing him to lead for 15 months followed by Velasco who will take the post for 21 months.
