Motorists who have incurred sums of fines can now grab the opportunity to clear their records at a discounted cost.
Under the directives of HH Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, Ajman Police launched the initiative of reducing traffic fines to half in celebration of the Year of Tolerance, in their aim to motivate motorists to drive safely.
Ajman Police Director of Traffic and Patrols Department Lieutenant Colonel Saif Abdullah Al Falasi stated that working on the aforementioned initiative has started this morning and shall end in December 2019.
“We launched this initiative earlier this year and applying 50% fines reduction begins this July and lasts till end of the year, not to mention that previous years witnessed such initiatives for the people’s good.” Lt. Col. Al Falasi furthered.
To get 50% off all previous fines (including car impounds), Lt. Col. Al Falasi stated that motorists shouldn’t get fined for 6 consecutive months, pushing them towards following rules of traffic law.
