Google features Puerto Princesa Underground River

Google made a special doodle to mark the celebration of Puerto Princesa’s Subterranean River or Underground River for making it at the Ramsar List of Wetlands International Importance.

This is the seventh anniversary of getting that world recognition.

Google featured the doodle on Sunday as a special message to commemorate the anniversary of the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River making the Ramsar List of Wetlands of International Importance.

It features the entrance of the famous natural wonder, one of the world’s longest underground waterways at 8.2 kilometers.

Puerto Princesa’s Subterranean Park is a protected area in the Philippines.

The Underground Park news listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999. This park made the New 7 Wonders of Nature in 2011.

“Aside from celebrating the destination, we hope that this effort serves as a reminder to do our part in conserving it,” Google said.
