A young Arab man was sentenced to six months in prison for stealing a scrap car in Ras Al Khaimah.
The decision was handed down by the Ras Al Khaimah Criminal Court, reported Khaleej Times.
According to the report, the car owner spotted the accused towing away the scrap vehicle, which was parked in front of his house.
The owner approached the young man, yet the suspect explained that he was told by his sponsor to tow the vehicle.
The suspect even presented an apparently bogus purchase contract.
Charges of attempted car theft and forgery was filed against the suspect after he was apprehended by the RAK Police.
