Body of OFW killed in ‘paragliding’ in Georgia flown home

The remains of the 38-year-old Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) killed in a paragliding incident in Gudauri, Georgia has been flown to his hometown in Zamboanga City.

Bryan Vale De Guzman’s family thanked the people who helped them in bringing his remains back to the country.

De Guzma’s mother said his son’s body was full of bruises apparently due to the accident.

“Maraming pasa sa legs, dahil siguro kung saan sila nahulog rocky, maraming rocks, ‘yun ang cause bakit marami siyang pasa sa katawan,” De Guzman mother told ABS-CBN News.

Initial reports said the paraglider malfunctioned causing De Guzman to fall in a rocky river.

“Very thoughtful, monthly nagpapadala ng support sa amin dito. Very supportive talaga, very responsible talaga ng anak ko,” De Guzman’s mother recalled.

De Guzman has been working as an OFW in Saudi Arabia for ten years now. It was his first time to go to Georgia with his friends for vacation.
