Manila, Philippines– Incoming Senator Bong Revilla, Jr. is confident of his 10th place finish in the recently concluded senatorial race.
Revilla has more than 14 million votes in the latest and almost complete partial and unofficial tally of the PPCRV based on the Commission on Election’s transparency server.
“Ngayong dalawang porsyento na lang ang natitira, malugod nating masasabi na tiyak na tayo sa number 10 sa bilangan,” Revilla said in a statement.
Revilla added that the remaining votes will also strengthen his claim on the tenth spot.
“Kaya naman lubos akong nagpapasalamat sa ating mga kababayan na lumabas at bumoto, at ipinakita na buhay at malusog ang demokrasya sa bansa’ Revilla said.
This is Revilla’s senate comeback after he was acquitted of plunder chargers over a multi-billion peso pork barrel scam. Revilla and co-accused former senator Jinggoy Estrada both joined the senatorial race.
