Manila, Philippines– Presidential Spokesperson Sal Panelo finds it incredible that Mocha Uson’s AA-Kasosyo party-list is trailing behind the party-list race in the midterm polls.
In an interview, Panelo said Uson may have become “overconfident” because of her more than 5 million followers online.
“Isa lang ang ibig sabihin niyan: Hindi siya nag-concentrate sa pagkampanya. Baka she was overconfident considering na she has five million followers [on Facebook] and most of them are overseas na bumuboto. Kasi alam ko nangangampaniya siya for others,” Panelo told reporters.
Uson’s party-list is currently 73rd based on the partial and unofficial count.
“Talo si Mocha? I can’t believe that,” Panelo said.
Panelo also suggested that the partylist should have been named ‘Mocha party-list’.
Uson is a staunch supporter of President Rodrigo Duterte.
She first served at MTRCB board member. She became an Undersecretary of Presidential Communications Office. She resigned in 2018 following a backlack on her ‘pepederalismo’ video and alleged spreading of fake news.
