Facebook on Wednesday, February 6, rolled out its new feature allowing users to unsend messages delivered to the wrong user.
According to Facebook, the new feature is available for messages sent to both individual and group chats.
Users can choose between deleting the message just for himself or delete the message for both the sender and the receiver.
Once the feature is used, the message will be deleted, however, a notification saying “You removed a message” will be displayed on the chat.
“Have you ever accidentally sent a message to the wrong group of friends, mistyped something, or simply wanted to remove a message in a chat? You’re not the only one!” Facebook said.
“Starting today, we are launching a feature where you can easily remove your message on Messenger – whether it’s to one person or a group,” it said.
The feature, however, is only available ten minutes from the time of sending the message. Thus, the message can no longer be deleted after 10 minutes.
The feature is now available to the new version of the application for iOS and Android users.
