WATCH: Emirati girl who cried for missing UAE National Day call gets VIP visitor

A video of a young girl crying because she was not able to receive a call from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has gone viral online.

It can be recalled that UAE residents got a call from a mysterious “1971” phone number during UAE’s National day. It turned out that it was a pre-recorded voice message from HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid telling UAE residents to be joyful and united while celebrating the union of seven emirates.

However, in the said viral video, one girl named Salamah Al Qahtani got upset and was seen sobbing when after she missed the call.

“Sheikh Mohammed did not speak to me!” Salamah said in the video.

HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid did not let the girl feel distressed over the phone call and decided to personally pay her a visit instead.

The video shows HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid walking into the girl’s house and sitting beside her on a bench.

He comforted Salamah and said that even though he sent out the call to all other UAE residents, she was the only one who experienced a visit from him.

“You are my daughter, may God bless you. Now you can tell everyone that you met me personally,” the UAE Vice President told the young girl.

Netizens can’t help but express their admiration for the UAE ruler and the kind gesture he did for the little girl.
