An overseas Filipino worker (OFW) was one of the suspected drug pushers who were arrested by authorities in a drug bust operation in Bacoor, Cavite.
OFW Gary Fernandez, 45, was among the “bigtime drug pushers” who were arrested, together with Rolly Espiritu, 27, and Jasmine Aquino, 21, reported Pilipino Star Ngayon.
Police are also now searching for the three suspects’ leader who was identified as Frederick Felizardo, also known as Boy Guinto.
During the drug bust operation which happened at around 1:45 AM of September 24, an undercover police made transactions with a certain Kim Bustillo to buy some meth.
The OFW was the one who gave the drug to the fake buyer not knowing it was part of a drug bust operation. The police also caught Espiritu and Aquino red-handed.
During police interrogation, Fernandez said that a certain “Biboy” was the one who supplied him with drugs. The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and Kawit Police did an operation to catch the supplier as well.
When authorities went to a gasoline station where Biboy was, they spotted his blue Honda Civic car.
However, the police were not able to catch him after the suspect started shooting them while driving away in his car.
One bystander was also left wounded after getting shot by a stray bullet during the operation.
