PH Embassy in Riyadh hosts Hajj night for Filipinos

Filipino Muslims who performed the Hajj pilgrimage were treated to a celebratory night by the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh and Philippine Consulate in Jeddah before they were sent off home.

Ambassador Adnan V. Alonto, Consul General Edgar Badajos and Secretary of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) Saidamen Pangarunan congratulated the pilgrims for completing one of the five pillars of Islam.

Two to three million Muslims from different countries perform the pilgrimage each year. Every Muslim who has the physical and physical capacity to perform Hajj must journey to Mecca at least once in their lifetime.

Around 5,800 Filipinos participated in the Hajj this year. They were welcomed by NCMF Secretary Pangarunan and Amirul Hajj 2018 Moro Islamic Liberation Front Representative Datu Zahir Mamalinta.
