Foreign arrivals hit an all-time high during the first-half of the year, the Department of Tourism announced.
DOT recorded 3,706,721 arrivals, a significant 10.40 percent increase from last year’s 3,357,591.
The June arrivals alone marked an 11.35 percent increase to 528,477 arrivals from 474,854 arrivals in the same month last year.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque expressed delight over the news in a media briefing at the Malacañang Palace.
“We are pleased to announce that foreign tourists continue to discover that it’s more fun in the Philippines,” he said.
