A fake Facebook page named “The Fillipinoo Times” is making rounds on social media, particularly Facebook, offering overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in the UAE online jobs in exchange of cash.
The said page uses the original logo of The Filipino Times, the largest newspaper for Filipinos in the UAE published by New Perspective Media.
The Filipino Times is warning the public against falling victim to fake pages and advertisements as such. The publication clarifies that it is not, in any way, affiliated with the page and encourages the public to ensure the legitimacy of job offerings, especially those posted online.
Furthermore, the publication encourages its readers to report such similar fake pages and advertisements in the future.
