A 34-year-old cashier who works at a convenient store in Batangas succumbed to death after getting stabbed by a student.
The suspect admitted to the crime, blaming his being sleep-deprived due to excessive use of computer, reported ABS-CBN.
“Nagdilim lang po talaga yung paningin ko… puyat po kaka-computer po, yun lang naman po eh.
“Humihingi lang po talaga ako ng pasensya sa pamilya nung napatay po. Anuman pong parusang matanggap ko, tatanggapin ko naman po,” ABS-CBN quoted the suspect as saying.

The student entered the said convenience store in Barangay Sico in Lipa, Batangas and ordered a cup of coffee before he began stabbing the cashier using a knife he found inside the store.
Aside from killing the cashier, the suspect also stole P13,000 worth of money from the store.
The student denied that he has been taking illegal drugs, but the police said that he needs to undergo drug test.
