Duterte throws up on return flight to Manila

“How is President Rodrigo Duterte’s health?”

Reporters posed this question on Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque during a press briefing at Malacanang earlier today, June 7.

The issue has been raised after the President admitted that he vomited during his flight home after suffering from migraine attack.

He arrived from South Korea late Tuesday night following his 3-day visit there.

“I puked in the [airplane] because of pain,” Duterte told reporters upon landing in the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

“That’s why I wasn’t able to go around the plane. Kakamustahin ko sana ‘yung mga Filipino passengers,” the President added.

Meanwhile, Roque was asked if the President is planning to have a general check up soon and if he would make the result public.

The presidential spokesperson did not address this directly, but clarified that: “It’s the first time I saw him suffer from the migraine. He said he was sick on the flight because of the migraine, otherwise his health is good.”

It was not the first time that the President complained his health problems. Aside from migraine, Duterte is also suffering from various ailments, including Barrett’s esophagus, which affects the condition of his throat.
