A six-month-old infant died after falling from a first floor balcony when his mother lost her balance while wearing high-heeled shoes.
According to Times of India, the accident happened when the infant’s family attended a wedding in Kalyan, Mumbai last May 6.
Reports stated that the family was on their way home when the baby’s mother, aged 23, slipped on her high-heeled shoes and accidentally dropped her baby.
After the fall, the baby reportedly sustained serious injuries. He was then rushed to a hospital where the doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Mahatma Phule police said that they have already registered a police report and that further investigation is now being conducted.
