Emirates Airlines announced on Twitter today, May 8, that they will start offering direct flights between Dubai and Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland.
The Dubai-based carrier said that they will start offering the daily service from Dubai International Airport to Edinburgh Airport on October 1.

Hubert Frach, Emirates’ Divisional Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations, West said that the new flight to Edinburgh is part of their efforts to increase their flight capacity to Scotland in order to meet growing demand.
Each trip is reported to last at least seven hours.
As of press time, Emirates has yet to release the price of the tickets.
