Visitors from the Philippines, and 58 other countries, will soon be allowed to visit and stay in the province of Hainan in China without visa for 30 days.
This comes after China unveiled on Wednesday, April 18, plans to permit visa-free travel to Hainan Province, in line with goals to open up the region and boost tourism in the aforementioned tropical destination.
According to Xinhua News Agency, individual and group tourists will be allowed to visit the province without visa, only if their trips have been booked through travel agencies authorized by the National Tourism Administration of China and registered in Hainan Province.
The new policy will start in May and will allow travelers from 59 countries to visit Hainan for 30 days visa free, said Qu Yunhai, deputy director of the State Immigration Administration at a press conference in Beijing.
These countries include the US, Russia, Philippines, Germany and France.
