The Audi A8 was hailed as the ‘World Luxury Car’ of 2018 at the annual World Car Awards at the New York Auto Show.
Audi A8 beat two other competitors during the final round of deliberation.
82 jury members from 24 countries ranked the competitors based not only on its exterior but also based on emotional appeal, passenger comfort and safety, environment aspects, driving performance, market relevance and price-performance ratio.
The win is Audi’s ninth award in the prestigious event.
“This award is a special honour for us and our flagship,” explained Peter Mertens, Board Member for Development at Audi AG.
“The new Audi A8 is an innovation driver for our entire industry. It sets new standards in automotive engineering with its innovative touch control system, consistent, broad electrification and the technical conditions for conditional automated driving.
Some features of Audi A8 include a touch control system. The car also has high-end equipment including the HD Matrix LED headlights with Audi laser light, all-wheel steering, and a rear seat that offers foot massage.

The model will be available in the Middle East by the end of April 2018.
