A 24-year-old woman was found hanging from the ceiling of her flat in Al Qasimiya area.
The Sharjah Police is now investigating the death of the Tunisian woman.
According to Khaleej Times report, the women threatened her boyfriend that she will commit suicide if he would not agree to marry her.
On the night of her death, her boyfriend got drunk and decided to go to bed early. The woman went to her own room after her boyfriend drifted to sleep.
When her boyfriend knocked on her door to check on her, he did not get a response. He then decided to break the door and, upon entering, he found his girlfriend dead, hanging from the room’s ceiling.
The Sharjah Police quickly responded by sending a forensic team, police, and an ambulance to the scene.
The police removed the woman’s body and transferred it to a forensic laboratory for investigations. They have also held the woman’s Arab boyfriend and collected fingerprints and pieces of evidence from the scene.
Initial investigations have ruled out murder, however, authorities are still unsure about the real cause of her death.
