Binalot, a popular Filipino food chain in the Philippines, will be introduced to Abu Dhabi customers soon, at the most anticipated opening of Al Ahli Holding Group’s Little Manila, the first-ever Filipino food court style restaurant in the capital, on November 15.
Binalot, coined from the Filipino word “wrapped,” is a classic Filipino fare wrapped in banana leaves, served in traditional local fashion.
As a brand, Binalot has become a food experience that merges traditional and modern culinary delights and recipes. It was introduced in the Pinoy market in 1996, by three young entrepreneurs, who started it as a food delivery service.
The company later ventured into the food court space two years later and in 2004, the brand expanded into franchising and dine-in stores.
Binalot had become a household name especially for working class Filipinos, families and students.
Its signature menu include adobo, tapa, bistek, tocino, longganisa and others – all atop steaming hot rice and garnished with appetizing siders of salted egg and tomato.
The Binalot style of food presentation is best suited for the contemporary and fast-paced Filipinos, who prefer to have company food that is convenient to carry and eat anywhere.
Binalot is one of the bestsellers at Little Manila Restaurant, which is set to open in Abu Dhabi. (CG)
