Majority of Filipinos believe it is important that the police catch drug suspects alive, the latest survey conducted by the Social Weather Stations (SWS) found.
The third quarter 2017 SWS survey, which covered 1,500 Filipinos aged 15 and above, asked:
The survey found that 95 percent of the respondents believe it is important that the police capture drug suspects alive; 76 percent said it is very important; while 19 percent said it is somewhat important.
The remaining 5 percent believe it was not important; 3 percent said it is somewhat not important; and 2 percent said it was not important at all.
The dominant opinion in all areas was that it was important that drug suspects be taken alive, SWS said.
