Speaking to The Filipino Times, Cebu Pacific Corporate Communications Director Charo Logarta Lagamon said the promo will benefit returning OFWs who will carry take home “balikbayan boxes” in time for the Christmas season.
“This promo has been on going for several months now, but we decided to extend it in recognition of the fact that a lot of OFWs go home on ber-months,” Lagamon said in a phone interview. “This is an option for OFWs so that they can bring their boxes with them. They won’t have to wait for at least 30 days to get their balikbayan boxes.”
The shipment of balikbayan boxes would cost as much as Dh370, while a 40-kilogram baggage allowance on Cebu Pacific is available at Dh320 to Dh350.
Moreover, the total of 65-kilogram baggage allowance will be extended to connecting flights to other Cebu Pacific destinations as long as it was booked under the same reference.
“Let’s say you have a connecting flight like Dubai-Manila then Manila-Cebu, your baggage allowance will be carried over for your flight to Cebu,” Lagamon added.
The promo is not applicable on CebGo flights because such flights have a maximum baggage allowance of 20 kilograms.
