Thousands of citizens, residents, and visitors took part in capturing life’s greatest moments in the UAE and shared individual stories of happiness in the form of snaps.
According to a March 2016 research commissioned by Majid Al Futtaim, a Dubai-based retailer and leisure developer, about 93 percent of people in the country say they are at their happiest when spending quality time with friends and family.
This prompted the UAE’s happiness and positivity program to partner with Majid Al Futtaim, Procter and Gamble, and Carrefour for the “Great Moments Together” campaign.
Around 11,000 pictures donated by UAE residents produced the world’s longest line of photographs at 1,655.192 meters, Guinness World Record judges verified on Wednesday.
“Everyone who has taken part has walked away with a smile, and that little act of giving thanks has been repeated by thousands of consumers across the country to create another Guinness World Record for the UAE,” Gulf News quoted Khalid Adawi, director of P&G in the Arabian Peninsula, as saying.
The photos, which will be on display in the atrium of Dubai Festival City until August 16, aims to showcase family love and happiness.
“Families and children have always been at the heart of Guinness World Records and we take great pride to be a part of this unique and memorable experience that showcases moments of happiness shared by families and loved ones,’ said Talal Omar, Guinness World Records country manager, MENA, in the same news report.
