Bulacan family massacre suspect owns up to crime

The suspect behind the killing of a family, including three young children, in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, has been netted by the Philippine National Police and presented to the media earlier today, June 29.

Carmelito Ibañez, a 26-year old construction worker, admitted to raping two of five members of the family before stabbing all of them to death on Tuesday night.

He also confessed to have smoked crystal meth and drank liquor before breaking into the home of the Carlos family.

Dexter Carlos Jr., father of the family, found his wife Estrella Carlos, mother-in-law Auring Dizon, and three children dead after his graveyard shift as a security guard.

A manhunt operation is underway for two more suspects at large with aliases “Tony” and “Inggo”.

San Jose del Monte Mayor Arthur Robes has also offered a reward of 200,000 pesos for any information that would lead to arrest of other killers.
