Stranded passengers of flight PR 655 arrive in Manila today

Stranded passengers of Philippine Airlines (PAL) flight PR 655 originally scheduled to depart Thursday from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, have arrived in Manila Saturday morning.

PAL said on Friday it accommodated them to a flight which departed from Riyadh at 8 pm, and arrived in Manila Saturday at 10:30 am.

“We made a request, and passengers who originally booked for the 8 pm flight gave way and will just take the early morning flight that is supposed to fly the stranded passengers,” PAL told the Philippine News Agency.

It added that all the stranded passengers can be accommodated in the evening flight, except for 10 who were able to rebook their flights earlier.

The original flight schedule did not push through due to an aircraft condition. Almost 400 passengers had to disembark. PAL said they were given hotel accommodations, except for some who were not allowed by the Immigration officers to leave the airport since they only had exit passes.
