Kuwait: A Kuwaiti national has been sentenced to life in prison as he was found guilty of raping a Filipina after kidnapping her.
The Filipina arrived in Kuwait to work as a maid and was going to a manpower agency to finalize procedures when the convict stopped and offered her a ride, reported local Arabic daily Al-Qabas, reported Gulf Daily News.
Once in the car, he changed his direction and took her to a desert area where he raped her and threatened her of dire consequence if she reported the matter to police, the report said.
