Filipino gymnast Carlos Yulo made history again after bagging the gold medal in the men’s vault at the 50th World Artistic Gymnastics Championship in Japan on Sunday.
Yulo averaged 14.916 in his two vaults to rule the apparatus, one day after failing to defend his title in the floor exercise.

The 21-year-old now owns three world championships medals after claiming floor gold (2019) and bronze (2018) respectively.
Yonekura Hidenobu of Japan (14.866) was second, while Israel’s Andrey Medvedev was the bronze medallist with a 14.649 average score.

The win is also a comeback event for Yulo after failing to secure a podium finish in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. (TDT)
