The Filipino Times, the largest international Filipino media and marketing agency, paid a courtesy call to the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) to explore ways of further strengthening their existing partnership in support of Filipino professionals in the UAE.
The courtesy meeting was held at MOHRE’s headquarters in Dubai between Rashed Abdulkarim Hassan Almulla, Director of the Government Communications Department at MOHRE, and Dr. Karen Remo, CEO and Founder of New Perspective Media Group and The Filipino Times.

This engagement builds on a strong collaboration between MOHRE and The Filipino Times.
In 2024, Her Excellency Shayma Al Awadhi, Assistant Undersecretary for Communication and International Relations, graced as the keynote speaker to the Filipino Times Watchlist Top Filipino Engineers and Architects in the Middle East, underscoring MOHRE’s commitment to celebrating the achievements of Filipino professionals.
Over the years, The Filipino Times has also supported MOHRE in amplifying its initiatives, campaigns, and advisories, ensuring that Filipino workers across the UAE are kept informed of important labor policies, skills programs, and workforce development opportunities.

During the courtesy call, discussions centered on expanding cooperation in three key areas:
• Informing Filipino professionals and workers about the UAE’s evolving work ecosystem and skills initiatives, ensuring that they are updated, guided, and supported.
• Recognition of excellence through platforms such as the Filipino Times Watchlist Awards and Summit.
• Information-sharing initiatives to further extend MOHRE’s reach and ensure that Filipino workers remain empowered and engaged.

Dr. Remo praised MOHRE’s leadership and achievements, noting: “MOHRE has been championing fair employment practices, promoting Emiratisation, and ensuring sustainable workforce development. The ministry’s programs have set benchmarks not only in the UAE but also across the region, creating a competitive labor market that empowers workers and employers alike.
“We are proud that Filipinos continue to be recognized as winners in the Emirates Labour Market Awards, a testament to their contribution to the UAE’s growth and excellence.
Our mission at The Filipino Times has always been to highlight and empower Filipino professionals in the region. Partnering with MOHRE allows us to sustain and expand these efforts, creating greater opportunities for recognition, growth, and collaboration. This is about strengthening bridges, building trust, and ensuring our community continues to thrive in the UAE.”

The Filipino community in the UAE—one of the largest expatriate groups—remains a vital contributor to the country’s workforce and development.
Through this ongoing collaboration, MOHRE and The Filipino Times reaffirm their shared commitment to celebrating Filipino achievements and creating opportunities for continued professional excellence.

Joining Dr. Remo were Rain Dimalanta, Director of Operations, Sales and Marketing, and Kristine Erika Agustin, Content Specialist of New Perspective Media Group.
