President Bongbong Marcos does not see the need to replace Vice President Sara Duterte as Education Secretary amid her supposed rift with First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos.
”Why? I don’t see the reason behind that,’’ said Marcos in an ambush interview in Occidental Mindoro.
Marcos said Cabinet members will only be replaced if they are non-performing.
”Any of the Cabinet secretaries will be replaced kapag hindi nila ginagawa ‘yung trabaho nila. All the other things are not part of the discussion,” added Marcos.
The chief executive said the Vice President did not even commit corrupt practices that would also be among the grounds for replacement.
Duterte has acknowledged the recent statements made by First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos.
In a video message, Duterte said that expressing her feelings towards her is valid and her right to do so.
But Duterte was quick to point out that personal feelings do not affect her mandate.
The Vice President said that she will personally talk to President Bongbong Marcos to resolve the matter.
