The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (Mohre) issued an advisory on Monday evening to urge private companies to keep employees working from home on February 13.
“Necessary measures need to be taken by companies to ensure outdoor work, if necessary to resume, complies with the occupational health and safety requirements,” the Ministry said in a statement.
“Companies also need to ensure the health and safety of workers commuting to and from outdoor work locations,” it continued.

The government, under Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s orders, has declared February 13 a remote working day for all Dubai government employees, except those who must be at their workplace.

Additionally, UAE schools will continue with distance learning on February 13 to avoid any disruptions due to the heavy rains.
