Due to water accumulation caused by heavy to moderate rainfall, the Roads and Transportation Authority (RTA) in Dubai shared through social media platform X at 6:00 a.m. some alternative routes that motorists can pass through.

These are the following:

  • Those who are heading towards Abu Dhabi may use Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road and Emirates Road.
  • Those who are coming from Abu Dhabi or any nearby area may use Seih Shuaib St. towards Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Rd. and Emirates Road

Along with traffic diversion updates, RTA also reminds the public to follow the safety tips for driving during rainy weather.

“Refrain from overtaking and maintain a safe distance with other vehicles to ensure your safety and that of others,” RTA stated in the post.

RTA has also assured the public that they are responsive in addressing the impact of rainfall in Dubai. RTA also thanked the public for their continuous understanding.
