Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Dubai Assembly for Generative AI is scheduled for October 11 to 12 this year.
In a tweet on Tuesday, Sheikh Hamdan posted a video noting that Dubai’s rapid technology adoption necessitates an inclusive vision for generative AI’s future and converting challenges into opportunities.
“‘AI’ was always a part of ‘DubAI’. Our city’s focus on future technologies has been integral to its DNA, giving us a world-class competitive edge that continues to push the boundaries of tech advancements. We want to lead the world in embracing AI, to unleash positive, impactful changes that best serve Dubai, the region and beyond,” His Highness wrote.
“The ‘Dubai Assembly for Generative AI’, set to take place on October 11-12, will deep dive into this technology like never before, placing Dubai at the forefront of this rapidly growing sector,” he added.

The Assembly will be organized by the Dubai Future Foundation and will feature international experts, ministers, CEOs, policymakers, and startups to discuss generative AI’s potential in both public and private sectors.
Moreover, the event will include keynote speeches, panel discussions, and interactive sessions to explore the latest uses of generative AI, technology trends, and successful experiences. It will focus on key sectors like health, education, finance, media, and entertainment while addressing challenges like data misuse and intellectual property.
Generative AI’s growing significance has been recognized by international organizations and technology giants like Meta, Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and IBM, making substantial investments in the field. This year’s Assembly aims to build on the success of last year’s Dubai Metaverse Assembly and foster innovation and advancements in technological solutions.
