The House of Representatives and its committees is set to continue working despite the summer recess.
This, after the House leadership approved all its committees to hold hearings, if necessary, during the period of adjournment from March 23 to May 7 of this year.
Majority Leader and Zamboanga City 2nd district Rep. Mannix Dalipe made the motion Wednesday night, with Speaker Martin Romualdez presiding over plenary.
With no objections, Romualdez has greenlighted the motion.
The move is made to allow the chamber to process important bills pending in the various panels.
There are 65 standing committees and 16 special committees in the House.
