WATCH: Emirati rescue team saves Syrian family from fallen debris after 7.7 magnitude earthquake in Türkiye

In the aftermath of the 7.7-magnitude earthquake that hit Türkiye, the UAE’s ‘Gallant Knight/2’ operation played a crucial role in rescuing a Syrian family of four from the rubble of their fallen home. The mother, son, and two daughters were rescued by the Emirati search and rescue crew during the operation.

The rescue operation, which took place in the Kahramanmaraş province, lasted for over five hours before the family was finally saved. The Emirati medical professionals gave the family immediate support before they were sent to a nearby hospital for further medical treatment.

The family’s friends and relatives who were present at the scene of the collapse expressed their gratitude for the efforts of the Emirati search and rescue team. They praised the team for their high level of professionalism and for successfully pulling the family members from under the rubble.

The family also thanked the Turkish authorities for their support and relief efforts. The earthquake that struck Türkiye on Monday has impacted over 13 million people in the country and in neighboring Syria, with the death toll continuously rising and many still trapped under the rubble.

The rescue operation, accompanied by The Emirates News Agency (WAM) team, is a testament to the UAE’s commitment to providing aid and support in times of crisis, both domestically and abroad. The Gallant Knight/2 operation continues to demonstrate the strength and unity of the UAE’s emergency response system and its commitment to helping those in need.
