Angeles says Marcos yet to designate presidential spokesperson

Incoming Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles said that the President-elect Bongbong Marcos has not chosen his spokesperson yet.

In an interview on GMA News, Angeles said that they have not received information that Marcos changed his previous statement.

“Maliwanag po yung statement ni President-elect that he will not designate a spokesperson,” Angeles said.

“As far as I know hindi pa po nagbabago yung polisiya na yun. Wala pa po kaming information kung nagbago yun so we are operating on that principle for now,” she added.

Angeles initially said that lawyer Karen Jimeno and Rigoberto Tiglao are being eyed as spokespersons but she later on clarified that these are the names only being floated.

Angeles said that nothing has changed with the policy of Marcos with the media even if they will be pushing for the accreditation of vloggers.

“Wala naman pong nagbago. It will be the same as always. Like what I said pagdating din doon sa accreditation policies, we’ll just be first operating with what is there and then we will review as we go along,” Angeles added.

“So we don’t see any differences right now,” she said.
