Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto has warned against politicians who are promising everything to voters during the campaign period but not offering concrete solutions to difficult issues.
Sotto cited some of his experiences when he was elected as mayor of the city. He said that housing and land issues persist for decades.

“Ang mga solusyon sa mga problemang ito ay mahirap, pinag-aaralan, at pinaghihirapan. Kung madali lang ang mga solusyon, hindi na sana umabot ng deka-dekada yung ibang mga problema,” Sotto said in a Facebook post.
“Kaya mag-ingat tayo sa mga politiko na kung magsalita ay napakatamis, pero kapag hinimay mo ang sinasabi ay halatang hindi naman talaga alam ang mga suliranin,” he added.

Sotto said that during his term they were able to provide electricity and water to informal settlers who were relocated to Tanay, Rizal.
Sotto is currently running for reelection against his vice mayor Iyo Bernardo.
