The Philippine Commission on Population and Development (POPCOM) chief has urged men to undergo non-scalpel vasectomy (NSV) for birth control.
POPCOM chief Dr. Jeepy Perez said that this will be manifestation of love for spouses and partners.
The POPCOM has stepped up distribution of contraceptive pills among women through its regional offices during pandemic as it believed that prolonged quarantine can provoke sexual activities, reported Philippine News Agency.
The pills are currently being used by only 30 percent of Filipinas for family planning, the report said.
